God made the whole world and everything in it. God is eternal. God is all-powerful. God is all-good. God is everywhere.

Chapter 02 - God is our Father
God made you. God desires a loving relationship with you. God is our Father. God made you in His image. God gave you a soul.
Chapter 03 - People walked away from God
God created Adam and Eve, the first two humans. Adam and Eve lived in a beautiful garden called Eden. The devil tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God's command. Original Sin affects all of us. God promised a Savior.
Chapter 04 - Jesus, the Son of God
Chapter Four Preview: Jesus is the Savior God promised. • Jesus is the Son of God, Who is God. • The Holy Trinity means that there are three Persons in one God. • The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are the three divine Persons of the Blessed Trinity. • Jesus, the Son, became human and was born into a family.
Chapter 05 - The First Christmas
Chapter 5 Preview: • God chose Mary to be the mother of His Son. • Mary was free of Original Sin and never committed sin. • Joseph the carpenter was a holy man, and he was Mary's husband and Jesus' foster father. • Jesus, Mary, and Joseph make up the Holy Family. • Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem on the first Christmas.
Chapter 06 - Jesus the Teacher
Chapter 6 Preview: • Jesus is both God and human. • Jesus taught people about God. • Jesus performed miracles that demonstrated Who He is. • Jesus told stories called parables. • Jesus loves all people and wants children to come to Him.
Chapter 07 - Jesus Dies for Us
Chapter 7 Preview: • Some people were jealous of Jesus and plotted to have Him killed. • Even though Jesus was innocent, He was sentenced to die by crucifixion. • Jesus died on the cross to save us. • Jesus chose to die for our sins.
Chapter 08 - Jesus is Alive!
Chapter 8 Preview: • On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead. • Jesus rose on Easter Sunday. • Jesus defeated death forever. • You will also rise from the dead.
Chapter 09 - Mary is our Mother
Chapter 9 Preview: • From the cross, Jesus gave Mary to the care of the apostle John. • Jesus has given Mary to all of us as our mother. • Mary is the perfect model of a follower of Jesus. • Mary loves us and prays for us.
Chapter 10 - Made for Heaven
Chapter 10 Preview: • We are called to know, love, and serve God. • We are made for Heaven. • In Heaven, we will experience God's perfect love forever, in complete happiness. • Nothing in life is more important than going to Heaven.
Chapter 11 - A Heavenly Friend
Chapter 11 Preview: • Angels are pure spirits that can know and love God. • We each have a guardian angel. • Our guardian angels watch over us and help us get to Heaven.
Chapter 12 - God Speaks To Us
Chapter 12 Preview: • God speaks to us through the Bible, the written Word of God. • God speaks to us through the Catholic Church. • The Holy Spirit guides the Church. • God can speak to your heart when you pray.
Chapter 13 - The Holy Spirit
Chapter 13 Preview: • Jesus chose the apostles to be the first leaders of the Catholic Church. • Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to the apostles. • The Holy Spirit is God, the third Person of the Blessed Trinity. • The Holy Spirit came to the Church at Pentecost. • The Holy Spirit came to you at your Baptism.
Chapter 14 - A Child of God
Chapter 14 Preview: • When you were baptized, Original Sin was washed away, and you became a child of God. • We are baptized "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." • We receive grace when we are baptized, and God comes to live in us. • Our Baptism unites us with all of God's people.
Chapter 15 - The Eucharist
Chapter 15 Preview: • At the Last Supper, Jesus changed bread and wine into His Body and Blood, giving us the Holy Eucharist. • Jesus gave the apostles the power to consecrate the Eucharist. • This power has been passed on to every Catholic priest. • At Mass, we receive Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, in Holy Communion.
Chapter 16 - The Mass
Chapter 16 Preview: • The Mass is the highest form of prayer and worship. • The Liturgy of the Word focuses on the Scriptures. • The Liturgy of the Eucharist focuses on the Holy Eucharist. • We receive Jesus Christ, truly present in the Eucharist, at Holy Communion.
Chapter 17 - Reconciliation
Chapter 17 Preview: • When we do something wrong, we must take responsibility. • We confess our sins to a priest in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. • Jesus has given priests the power to free us from sin. • In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, all our sins are forgiven.
Chapter 18 - Marriage and Family
Chapter 18 Preview: • Families are part of God's design. • Jesus came into the world through a family. • The Holy Family is a model for all families. • Holy Matrimony is the Catholic sacrament of marriage.
Chapter 19 - The Liturgical Year -- Advent and Christmas
Chapter 19 Preview: • The Church has feasts and seasons on the liturgical calendar. • Advent is a season when we prepare to welcome Jesus and celebrate His birth. • We celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas.

Chapter 20 Preview: • Lent is a penitential season. • We commemorate Jesus' Passion during the Sacred Triduum. • We celebrate Jesus' Resurrection at Easter. • Sunday is the Lord's Day because Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday.
Chapter 21 - The Liturgical Year -- Ordinary Time
Chapter 21 Preview: • Most of the Church year is spent in Ordinary Time. • There are special feasts during Ordinary Time. • We must know God in the ordinary times of our lives.
Chapter 22 - Made in God's Image and Likeness
Chapter 22 Preview: • We are made in God's image and likeness. • We are called to be children of God. • We must respect all people because they are made in God's image. • God wants all people to come to Him, so we should share our faith with others.
Chapter 23 - God has given us Laws
Chapter 23 Preview: • The Ten Commandments are laws from God about right and wrong. • God gave Moses the Ten Commandments. • We must still follow the Ten Commandments today.
Chapter 24 - God's Law of Love
Chapter 24 Preview: • Jesus taught that the greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. • The next is to love your neighbor as yourself. • The first three of the Ten Commandments teach us how to love God. • The last seven of the Ten Commandments teach us how to love our neighbor.
